Question: What do you think of Anthony Hitchens? Seems like every game I watch, I say to myself, “Hitch is always around the ball.” #OhioBoy
Laufenberg: Since my mom grew up in Warren, OH (after being born in Italy) I will grant your hashtag! Hitchens probably impressed me most his rookie year when they moved him all over the linebacker chart, playing both inside and outside. No easy task for a rookie. Did it without missing a beat. Don’t think inside is his natural position, but was forced to play there this year. Cowboys are hoping that next year, Jaylon Smith will be holding down that spot. You typically dress six linebackers for the game, and I would be happy that Hitchens was one of them if I were coaching that defense.
